Real Ghost Stories (Not like in the movies)

Real Ghost Stories? Not all that glamorous

In real life, most of the time, ghost stories that are actually true will not be as interesting as they seem to be in the movies.  Not that much happens.  Even if a house has a certain energy about it, chances of the spirits killing humans for revenge or throwing object around the room is very, very low.

Most likely, if someone has actually experienced something, it will most likely be something very small.  If what really happens was actually displayed in the movies, it wouldn't sell.  Normally a prescence is just felt.  I have been in a building that I swear is haunted and nothing really big happened to me.  I would be standing near the kitchen and feel someone go by me and turn to talk to my roommate (who else could it have been?) and no one was there.  She was still asleep in her room, about 20 ft away.  Most of what you will hear will be similar to that.

Of course, when I was a child, I used to go to an old abandoned house near my home and talk to a girl that was in there.  Did I mentioned that it was abandoned.  I vividly remember some of these conversations.  But, I was just a kid.  So I couldn't possibly be actually talking to a ghost, right?  Right?

There are real ghost stories out there, I promise.  But they are never as glitzy as what you see in the movies. But honestly, if something small happens in a haunted-like fashion, it goes a long way in making you feel a little creeped out in real life.

Great Hub Jennii!

Thanks for answering my request! And your right... Hauntings seem to be slightly overrated. I think most of it may be an over-imaginative mind, but there are real ghost stories... I just wonder why they never happen to me!!!!!

I thought it was a pretty good story you just told. We always thought we had a ghost in our old house because so many things would disappear and then reappear. I would put clothes away in a dresser that had drawers and doors on it so to open it you had to open the doors first and then pull out the drawers. I would come back into the room later and find all the clothes scattered across the room. I always blamed it on the cat.
